SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for selling Champlain Technology Group (CTG) and LayerEight products and services to business and residential customers within assigned territories or industry groups. Key results areas are Customer acquisition, revenue generation, Customer satisfaction and retention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Is responsible for identifying prospective Customers, initiating contacts, prequalifying and establishing relationships with key decision maker(s). Gathers and analyzes Customer information, develops sales presentations and proposals, fields objections and delivers solutions, and coordinates account setup to completion.

Understands Customers needs and requirements and is dedicated to Complete Customer Satisfaction. Applies knowledge of the Customer, competition, CTG and LayerEight services/products, pricing/tariffs and proven sales skills to achieve goals and objectives.

Establishes and cultivates long term Customer relationships that deliver comprehensive communications solutions, maximizing account revenue growth, penetration and retention. Seeks to understand and anticipate Customers needs and/or business plans to proactively identify future service opportunities. Responds to changing needs and product offerings and uses this knowledge to foster new sales from existing relationships.

Uses telemarketing and door to door sales methods to identify prospects and productive revenue generating opportunities, maximizing field sales calls. Participates in designated trade shows, conferences and training exercises to enhance development opportunities and supplement direct sales call activity.

Works closely with Customer Service, Operations, and Technical support to ensure CTG and/or LayerEight meets or exceeds Customer expectations. Leads recovery efforts when necessary.

Utilizes available technology to maximum efficiency for prospecting, lead tracking, forecasting, customer proposals and communication (email) purposes.

Prepares sales planner(s), sales call activity reports, expense reports, relationship reports and new account/order entry documents to ensure a smooth service transition for new Customers and comply with administrative requirements.

Must have superior time management skills and be comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with results oriented attitude.

Performs additional duties as assigned. Must maintain a valid drivers license and be able to travel to Customer locations to secure new business, lead or participate in market expansion opportunities, and support existing relationships.  Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess superior communications (written and verbal) skills and demonstrable sales, marketing or customer service experience.
